TISC EC Department has assumed multiple functions in providing rapid, secure and advanced online brokerage services to clients and upgrading TISC's internal information management systems with continued efforts.
In view of the globalization of Taiwan financial market, we will expand our EC business to the global market by setting up cross-border financial platform with Internet technology to offer our financial services around the world. Upholding the principles of professionalism and integrity supported by the strong academic qualifications and experience of our staff, TISC has always been recognized by the authorities and clients. In the year 2002, we completed 35 initial public offerings, right issues in equity and convertible bonds on TSE and OTC. Cumulatively, we have lead-sponsored 166 underwriting cases. Under the new liberal and international financial regime of ROC government, underwriting business will expand to Mainland China underwriting, M&A, asset management and venture capital business, and provide our clients diversified financial planning services.

Because Taiwan's capital market is becoming mature, listed companies have become more aware of the professionalism of share registration and transfer services. In response to amendments in related laws and regulations, TISC thrives to gain recognitions and trust from clients by developing corresponding computer programs and providing more professional and efficient services.
By the end of 2002, we have acted for 163 listed companies for share registration and transfer services, and we expect our clients will grow to 190 in two years. Taking advantage of economy of scale, we will further rationalize and computerize our operations to lower our operating costs and enhance competitiveness. In addition, we will further strengthen the ability of our professional team.

TISC Financial Products Department specializes in developing and launching derivatives and new financial products. Up to now, each of the warrants we have issued has achieved about 120% return rate in the trading market, while average return rate has reached 872%. This outstanding performance can be attributed to our unique and specialized financial product know-how and professionalism.

Taiwan International Futures Corporation (TIFC), founded in 1993 and licensed by Taiwan Futures Exchange as a clearing member in 1998, offers investors comprehensive futures brokerage service in both domestic and foreign markets.
Among the futures companies in Taiwan, TIFC has earned a good reputation in serving investors' needs to evade the risk of market fluctuations and to maximize returns. In addition to Taipei Headquarter, we have Chiayi and Tainan Branches to provide services to local clients.
As one of the leading futures companies in Taiwan, TIFC will keep strengthening its capabilities to offer more diversified risk management and investment programs to institutional and individual investors in helping them to manage their financial risk and provide alternative assets allocation tools.

TIS Securities (HK) Ltd., Beijing Representative Office was approved to establish.
2002
Paid-in capital rose to NT$7.065 billion. Then, TIS (BVI) Ltd. reinvested in TIS (HK) Ltd. with HK$50 million.
 2000 The liaison office in Shanghai was established. Bought back treasury stocks.
 1999 Set up the "Financial Products Department" for conducting business in warrants and derivatives. We set up the "eCommerce Department" responsible for the conducting of online trading and E-business. Paid-in capital further rose to NT$6.765 billion.
 1998 Wanhwa and Yuanlin were opened, which made us total 20 branches. Paid-in capital further rose to NT$5.414 billion and NT$6.443 billion at the end of this year.
 1997 We established the Taiwan International Investment Corporation in British Viking Island, which later renamed as the Taiwan International Securities (BVI) Ltd. It was a 100% subsidiary to TISC. All the holdings in the TIS (HK) Ltd. had been transferred to the TIS (BVI) Ltd. Six new branches: the Chungli, Hsinyi, Tantze, Keelung, Chiayi, and Lingya were opened. Paid-in capital rose to NT$4.314 billion.
 1996 We have the Chungkang, Changhwa, and Hsinchuang Branches opened. Paid-in capital further rose to NT$3.852 billion.
 1995 The Tainan, Hsinchu, and Sungshan Branches were opened. Paid-in capital further rose to NT$3.6 billion.
 1994 Taiwan International Securities Investment Consulting Corporation (TISICC) was founded and was owned 99.20% by the TISC. The TIFC began to operate on May. Kaoshiung Branch was opened. Paid-in capital further rose to NT$3.2 billion.
 1993 Taiwan International Futures Corporation (TIFC) and TIS (HK) Ltd. were founded. TISC held 99.97% and 90% of their shares respectively.
 1992 Paid-in capital rose to NT$2.219 billion. The Shihlin, Pingtung, and Taoyuan Branches were opened continuously.
 1991 Provide service on margin trade and short sales of securities. Approved by the Central Bank as authorized central government bond trader. The Taichung Branch was unveiled.
  1990 Paid-in capital reached 2.055 billion NT dollars after the new stock issuance.
 1989 The Securities Commission issued permit in February and business was officially started.
 1988 Under the leadership of Mr. Pen-Tsao Chang, the TISC is founded with an initial capital of NT$1 billion. The TISC is a consolidated securities firm engaging in the business of brokerage, dealing and underwriting, and formally commenced its operation on December 15th.
